My work examines concepts such as hauntology, the spectrality of ideology, and the internal and external impacts of accelerationism on the working class. Inspired by Derrida's poetic language in Specters of Marx, I use imagery that can be associated with speaking with "ghosts" or summoning spirits alongside imagery of changing spaces and the traces of the cultural casualties left behind.
Through this accelerated version of capitalism, there is a deepening of the exploitation of the working class and a growth in humanitarian shortcomings. The works of Critical Theorists such as Jackie Wang, Mark Fischer, Franco Birardi, and Paolo Virno have a direct influence on the concepts that are embedded in my work.
Through multi-disciplinary art practice, I explore the oppressive parallels between societal systems and the eternally repeating narrative of trauma and tragedy attached to those victimized by these exploitative systems.
